The French Red Cross develops and provides logistics training, based on the the logistic handbook.
The training are organized as a 5-day workshop in which staffs, branch managers and volunteers of the National Societies will be supported in the development of their own logistics system, with special attention to the internal logistics chain from HQ to branches and relief sites.
The participatory approach enhances understanding and ownership by the national society which has a positive impact on the sustainability of the system and benefit for affected people.
Representatives from National Disaster Management Office and other government stakeholders are invited to better understand the working process of the Red Cross and for promoting linkages and coordination between them regarding emergency and preparedness processes.
